Greece’s import price inflation eased in August after accelerating in the previous month, figures from the Hellenic Statistical Authority showed Friday.
The import price index rose 3.8 percent annually in August, slower than the 4.2 percent climb in July.
Among the main industrial groups, energy prices alone grew 15.0 percent annually in August. The price index for intermediate goods climbed 1.9 percent and those of capital goods increased by 0.5 percent.
Month-on-month, import prices remained flat in August after a 1.4 percent rise in the preceding month.
